Check engine light was on the entire time. Oil was fine and temp. Trac control was error

Car is in good shape aesthetically both inside and out, however the car is in poor mechanical condition. Check engine light was on for a majority of my 10 day trip, indicating faults with all wheel drive and traction control systems. Owner informed when the light first came on, but they were unconcerned, reporting it being a known intermittent sensor error . The transmission is regularly slipping and bucking gears, feeling as if it could suffer a complete failure at any time. Additionally, the suspension is worn out. Very uncomfortable ride if turning or driving over bumps and hills. Would not recommend renting until these faults are fixed, otherwise you risk finding yourself broken down on the side of the road.
