Despite the overall positive reviews for this host, I was personally disappointed.
We had booked a recent 4x4 4Runner, but the previous renter didn't return it. Bad luck happens, but it’s still worth noting. I was notified just two hours before picking up the vehicle that I wouldn't be getting that one after all. We were offered a swap for the same type of vehicle, but older, more beat-up, and normally cheaper. Out of urgency and with no real alternative, we accepted the switch at the original price.
The host had assured us that everything was being handled directly between them and Turo. Instead, we spent three hours on the phone with Turo support sorting out the swap on our own.
When we arrived at the scheduled time to pick up the car, no one was there—we had to wait an hour and a half for someone to show up. They simply told us, *'It's fine, you can take this car, Ash Car is handling the swap with Turo.'* That turned out to be completely untrue, as I eventually received a message from the host telling me I was driving without insurance...
As for the car itself: it smelled like weed, though it was clean overall. Mechanically, however, the brake rotors were warped (the steering wheel vibrated heavily when braking at high speeds) and the car pulled to the left, likely an alignment or balancing issue.
In the end, we slightly went over the mileage limit. I asked the host if they could offer a commercial gesture given all the issues we encountered. I got no response—just a direct invoice for the extra mileage.
Extremely disappointed with this experience.

This was the second time I've used this truck. It was a great truck, but I'd give it a 4.5 stars only because the condition was a bit off from the pictures. It could use a little TLC. If you're looking for a solid truck to get you to and from this is a good choice.
