The car was not in the best condition and had several serious issues. When starting the vehicle, the engine/motor made a very loud noise, and it appeared that the catalytic converter was either missing or damaged. There was also a strong smell of gasoline, which was very concerning.
The brakes made loud noises and caused the car to jolt when braking. Going uphill, the vehicle would struggle to accelerate, which made driving it feel unsafe. There were also multiple issues that could potentially attract police attention, particularly the loud engine and strong gas smell.
Before driving, I asked the host if the vehicle was safe and whether there was anything wrong with it. The host responded, “will explain u later,” but never provided an explanation.
Overall, I do not recommend renting this vehicle unless the host addresses and repairs these issues. I would not feel comfortable renting this car again in its current condition.
