MyAutoVia was very kind, communicative, and accommodating throughout the rental. My flight was delayed by about an hour, and they were flexible with the change in timing, stayed in communication with me as I made my way through and navigated the airport, and were there when I arrived. I really appreciated that, especially after a long travel day.
Unfortunately, the vehicle itself was not the best fit for our trip. We had issues with the A/C not cooling properly, which was especially difficult in the summer heat and for passengers in the back since there were no rear vents. We also had some trouble starting the vehicle at times, Apple CarPlay was inconsistent, and the lack of a backup camera made us a little uncomfortable given the size of the Jeep and the fact that multiple people on our trip would be driving it.
Ultimately, we ended up returning the Jeep early and renting another vehicle for the remainder of our trip. MyAutoVia was responsive throughout that process and even came to retrieve the vehicle, which I appreciated.
I was actually planning to leave a four-star review because, despite the problems with the vehicle, my one-on-one interactions with the host had been positive. Unfortunately, the way the refund was handled changed my overall impression of the experience.
After returning the Jeep early, I was directed to Turo customer service to address the refund rather than having it resolved directly with the host. I later learned that the host had also contacted support regarding their position on the refund. From my perspective, this could have been resolved much more simply. I was requesting a full refund, but I think being refunded for the time we actually used the vehicle would have also been reasonable offer after we returned the Jeep early because of the issues we were experiencing.
Instead, I spent about an hour going back and forth with customer service, ultimately got nowhere, and had to dispute the charge with my bank. That was especially disappointing because I felt there was a very reasonable middle ground available: acknowledge that the vehicle did not work for our trip, charge us for the days we used it, and refund us for the days after it was returned.
I understand that hosts have a business to run and that Turo has its own policies, but I also think there are situations where simply doing what is fair for the customer matters. The approximately $348 at issue was not worth the amount of time and frustration this ultimately created.
This experience will actually lead me to delete my Turo account. Traditional rental companies can absolutely be more expensive and come with their own inconveniences, but this experience reminded me of the value of having an established company with centralized customer-service procedures when something goes wrong. We ended up renting our replacement vehicle from Enterprise, and the contrast made that especially clear.
I still want to emphasize that MyAutoVia was kind, flexible, and communicative during the actual rental and return process. My disappointment is less about how I was personally treated and more about the vehicle issues and how the refund situation was handled afterward. Unfortunately, taken together, those things made the overall rental experience much more difficult than it needed to be.

This review does not accurately reflect the Jeep’s condition. Post-trip inspection confirmed the new brakes work perfectly and the A/C blows at 36.3°F. JKU's don have Rear vents, a backup camera, and blind-spot monitoring were neither factory-equipped nor advertised. The doors were not jammed; pressing unlock twice is standard Jeep operation. CarPlay issues resulted from another phone remaining connected. Nine prior trips earned five stars with none of these concerns. We followed all Turo Policy
Great experience, the owner was very accommodating! Will definitely rent again when I come back to town.
