The owner was highly responsive to (most) messages throughout the rental process, and the vehicle was delivered clean and well-presented. However, I also believe it is important to provide an honest assessment of the vehicle's mechanical condition, particularly where safety is concerned.

The most significant issue was the headlights. Although they were functioning in the sense that they turned on, their illumination was exceptionally poor. During nighttime driving, the low beams provided so little visibility that I found it necessary to use the high beams almost continuously just to see the roadway ahead. But even with the high beams activated, visibility remained severely limited, to the point where it often felt as though only a few feet of roadway in front of the vehicle were adequately illuminated.

I raised this concern with the owner during the rental period, and his response was that the headlights were "working." Respectfully, that was not the issue. The question was not whether the lights turned on, but whether they provided adequate illumination for safe nighttime driving. In my opinion, they did not.

Additionally, before the rental began, I had specifically asked the owner to ensure that the vehicle had been properly serviced and, in particular, that the windshield wiper blades were in good working condition. I did not receive a response to that inquiry. During the rental, we encountered rain, and the wiper blades left significant streaking across the windshield, making visibility difficult. Combined with the headlight issue, this created a challenging and potentially unsafe driving situation.

I generally prefer not to leave negative reviews. However, because these issues directly affect driver visibility and nighttime safety, I felt it was important to mention them so that they can be addressed for future renters. My intention is not to criticize the owner, who was otherwise communicative and professional, but rather to highlight safety-related maintenance items that warrant attention before renting this vehicle out again.

And it is for the above reasons that I must rate this experience as below average (3-star).
