Carolyn’s Toyota was perfect for our beach trip. Super easy pick up and drop off. Clean was in great condition and gave us no problems. Carolyn was a great host and was very responsive. She was able to accommodate us when there were some flight changes.

This was my first Turo experience. Overall it was a good experience. I would book this vehicle again.

A few things to note from this trip:

1. The vehicle was not on site at the reserved pickup time.
I reserved the vehicle for 8:30am pickup at the airport. The instructions stated the car would be left in the short term parking lot. At 8:30am we headed out to the short term lot to get the vehicle. My husband and I searched the lot, with all of our luggage in tow, but couldn’t find the vehicle. I then reached it to the host to ask where the car was parked, at which point she notified me that she was 6 minutes away with the car. I was told the reason for the delay was because I did not provide her my flight information until late the night before, so she did not see it until the morning of the reservation. This being my first time using Turo, I didn’t understand that the car would be delivered based on the arrival time of my flight. I assumed it would be there at 8:30am since that’s the time I selected to pickup the vehicle when I booked the reservation. In the grand scheme of things it wasn’t a big deal, but dragging 3 suitcases through a parking lot in the Florida heat at 8:30am for no reason wasn’t exactly how I planned to start my vacation. I think most people would find that a bit frustrating. Now I know for next time to prioritize submitting my flight information.

2. The vehicle battery died.
The vehicle was extremely clean and appeared to be very well maintained. It was exactly as photographed in the listing. Unfortunately, the vehicle battery died midway through our rental period, leaving us without a car for 2 days of our 8 day rental. The host then provided another vehicle for us to drive thankfully. I assume it was likely the original factory battery given the year of the car, so I by no means faulted the host for the battery dying— just unlucky. Though no one is to blame, it was still disruptive to our trip and is the last thing anyone wants to deal with while on vacation.

All in all, I would still recommend this vehicle and would consider booking it again if I returned to the area.
