I would NOT recommend renting this vehicle. I had serious concerns about the mechanical condition of the car and ultimately did not feel safe driving it.
The host did tell me that the check engine light was on, but when I received the vehicle, I noticed that the area where the check engine light appears was covered with black tape on the dashboard. The vehicle also hesitated when starting, vibrated and shook while sitting at traffic lights, sputtered, and eventually sounded like the engine was knocking. These issues were far more serious than what I understood I was renting.
What makes this even more concerning is that another renter left a review back in June stating that this same vehicle overheated during their rental.
I reported my concerns to Turo and provided pictures and videos documenting the condition and mechanical issues I experienced. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the host continued sending me unwanted messages and calling me a liar, despite Turo having the pictures and videos I submitted.
To make matters worse, I was later sent an invoice for gas. Considering I stopped driving the vehicle because I believed it was unsafe and the engine was knocking, I found that completely unreasonable.
I rented a vehicle expecting something safe and reliable enough to get me where I needed to go. Had I known beforehand about the extent of these mechanical problems, I absolutely would not have rented this vehicle. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending this vehicle to anyone.

I should have canceled this trip with you, when I saw your horrible rating. you lied about my shaking and vibrating. I sent turo all the evidence. you are just like your rating is.
Easy pickup, vehicle was very clean and got me to where I needed to be.
