Easy pick and loved the ride

I did not really enjoy this rental. First, the car is too personalized with the owners things (i.e. you see their picture every time you start the car on the profiles screen). Second, the car has a dashcam that records the inside of the vehicle. The owner was very kind and gave me permission to disconnect it but that does nothing as it has a battery so every time the car turns on it literally records everything (including you) until you hold the off button for like 30 seconds. Gets annoying to do every time. Second, it's an electric car and in California you cannot charge an electric over 80% at charge stations (and its more expensive than gas and just a hassle), so when you return the car it will be at like 60% depending on where you charged it, then you get charged for returning it with low battery even though it was 65% when you picked it up. Overall this car/experience was disappointing. I personally would not rent again.
Thx for your feedback! Just to clarify: the car has a guest profile, so no owner content shows after setup. The external dashcam (located on the windshield) is fully off once unplugged and has no battery — I usually remove it and missed it this time, sorry. The message you saw is from the built-in Mercedes dashcam system (front/rear only). Charging up to 100% is possible (e.g. Electrify America). Car was picked up at 90% and returned at ~60%, so it was charged per Turo policy.
