Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t as smooth as I expected. My original Turo reservation with another host was canceled at the last minute because the previous renter returned the vehicle late, forcing me to book this vehicle on short notice at a higher cost.
I explained the situation to this host and asked if I could pick the vehicle up a little early, but I was told that wasn’t possible due to insurance. I understood that. However, I wasn’t able to access the vehicle until about 8 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, which left very little time to complete the required inspection and take photos before starting my trip. I was also waiting outside in the rain during that time.
The vehicle itself was fine, but the pickup process was stressful and could have been better. I hope future renters have a smoother experience.
