Brandon was a great host, but we incurred unexpected expenses after booking that - had they been known in advance - might have altered our plans.
The first was a $55 “Airport Access Fee” Turo charges if you’re picking-up from SLC International.
The second was a parking fee - which Brandon did tell us about - but again, was one we learned about after the booking and which ended-up being more than the estimate provided (our cost was $24).
Again, nothing wrong with these charges, but it would be nice to know about them at the time of booking.
The Tiguan was great - we’re a VW/Audi family - so everything was very familiar.
The only issue with the Tiguan - and this is a potential safety issue - is that the driver’s shoulder belt is badly frayed and should be replaced. In a heavy frontal impact it could potentially fail.
But overall good trip; the next time we’re in SLC we would definitely consider renting the Tiguan again….with a new shoulder belt.
