A complete nightmare. I’ve never had a host yell through a text message nor have I had one be so indifferent when asked to unlock the car so I could charge my phone to check in and take photos, but when I accidentally got a nail in the tire, the host somehow understood the importance of not being available at moments notice , but in a timely manner. “Please pay it asap. You need to pay it!!!!!!!!”. Had I requested the host to unlock the car asap so my phone doesn’t die: I’m sure he would had had the same exact words I’m expressing now. I’ve been thinking about getting on the Turo app for years: my first rental being in Connecticut in 2022. Unprofessional and a huge inconvenience to what I needed to get done that day while it was 89 degrees out. INSTEAD of being , hmm, understanding or empathetic and saying hey let me unlock the car for you get it charged I sat for a good 10 minutes.
1. Detailed self check-in instruction sent to you ahead of time. You showed up late and screamed over phone asking for car unlock, before uploading car pics first as requested by Turo. I was shocked. You said phone had 2% battery left. Understand you were worried but you shouldn't be screaming for your own mistake. I unlocked the car right away to help you to charge your phone.
2. Car returned with one flat tire. You intentionally ignored repair payment after being requested miltiple times.
