This is the car I take on my own adventures. I hope you'll treat it with the care and respect that I do.
Great for adventures, camping, snow, and hauling gear and people. Tons of room in the trunk. All 3 back seats come down separately for different needs. I've often fit 4-5 people and all the suitcases we need (with a full trunk) for a weekend trip or a few less people and more gear. I installed a roof rack with crossbars recently, so can carry gear there if you want. I may have straps if you ask.
Easy parallel parking in the city. Even with the large cargo capacity and roomy cabin, it is less long than some sedans, so you can fit in some tight parking spots. And the backup camera makes that a breeze.
The Bose sound system results in some great tunes while you're driving around. Just a super comfy car.
AWD equipped with "snow tires" (really they're quality all season tires but they are M+S rated so according to the law they're snow tires and you don't need chains, but still drive slow in the snow), so great for driving to chain control areas. Remember, AWD doesn't help you stop faster, it only helps you keep traction in other situations.
Drop the middle seat and put a shortboard through. Drop just the right seat and lay the passenger seat down to fit 3 people and 3 surfboards, or drop both 2 right seats and fit up to 6 surfboards stacked inside and 2 people.
With the back seats dropped it can fit 1 bike inside if you don't want to take it apart, or a few if you take the wheels off. Also have a bike rack for 2 you can use on request, but it doesn't do well with heavy bikes.
