The car died on us at the first red light and wouldn’t turn back on. We did get it to start again and made it to our destination but the next morning, the car wouldn’t start again. Initially, the host said they “remotely checked diagnostics” and everything was fine, but it wasn’t. They asked if we had “tampered with the pairing” whatever that means. I just wanted a reliable car to tow my family around for a relaxing vacation, and the first day was extremely inconvenienced. Had to wait for a tow company, many calls, and a 1 hour phone call to figure out a new rental. Host told us to call road side assistance. Not helpful whatsoever. Turo ended up towing the car, refunding us, and swapping out for a new vehicle.
Untrustworthy guest deleted our primary account through the infotainment system. This will not remove our account through the app, but rather have an adverse affect and cause an erratic behavior between our app and the vehicle, which in this case drained the battery. Thus we had to tow the vehicle. For future, DO NOT delete primary account on the vehicle, this is against Turo Policies. Guest even verified that they have driven the car before and know how the features work!
