Check engine light on whole time back windows don’t work but car is good condition and safe to drive

We picked up the 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan from a parking lot behind a few buildings. I took many pictures of the car which had many scrapes and small dents. I only needed the vehicle for two days. There were two warning lights on the dash but I didn’t notice it until I was told the front headlight was out. I took a picture of it and sent it to Fernando and he said, “sorry, I didn’t see it” o told him I would now have to Uber everywhere we went at dark since it’s ILLEGAL to drive with a missing headlight!! I got no reply. I told him I would dispute the charge with my credit card company if he didn’t compensate me for this. Again, crickets…no reply! Oh…I did receive from him the standard “how to return the car…”
Wow! What a terrible first time experience renting through Turo.
Robert, the vehicle was fully operational at pickup. On a 2017 vehicle, a headlight bulb or fuse can unexpectedly fail — this is normal wear and not something that can always be predicted. I responded when you messaged me. The vehicle was safe to operate during the day, and Turo roadside assistance is available if needed. Requesting compensation and threatening a chargeback instead of following Turo’s process was not appropriate. We maintain our vehicles and address issues promptly.
