When I picked up the car, one tire was 34/46 PSI and I had a dashboard UI warning to check tire pressure. I confirmed that it would not have been safe to drive on the highway like that. After driving the car <2 miles home the pressure was even lower, indicating a puncture in the tire. I had to schedule my own appointment the next day at a tire center to have the tire patched and fixed so I could have a safe car to drive for my trip. Despite clear evidence and explanation the host did not seem to understand that this was unacceptable. I requested the first day of my 8-day trip be refunded ($133). The host only agreed to refund $100 which I am not pleased about, considering I felt my offer was already very generous, frankly $133 would not compensate me alone for the time I spent taking the car to get its pre-existing issue fixed, much less account for not having a safe car for the first day of the rental. This is the reason for my three star rating.
Besides this major issue, the car was lovely and everything else went smoothly. But I should not have to go take our car to get fixed that I am paying you $133/day to rent.

Upon receiving your issue during your reservation we first reached out with a message 17 minutes after you indicated the issue. We received no response. The next day we reached back out via message also no response. I had a mobile team member call you in hopes of coming out and resolving any issues no response. You cited being busy packing 2 days after. We issued a credit as a courtesy to you for the pressure being low. But there is only so much we can do when you don’t respond.

The owner was terrific and responds quickly to anything needed. Car was clean and new. Looking forward to renting from him again in the near future.
