The car ran fine and the owner was responsive, but the cleanliness was extremely disappointing. The seats were so stained that my child didn’t want to sit in the back. The floors appeared not to have been vacuumed in some time, surfaces were sticky, and there was buildup and residue on the steering wheel and seatbelts that made me uncomfortable touching them. I purchased wipes to clean the interior myself.
The windshield was dirty and cloudy, and there was no windshield washer fluid in the vehicle. When I raised these concerns, the owner asked me to identify where it was dirty. After I provided the details, his response was simply, “OK.” Although he replied promptly, I didn’t feel my concerns were taken seriously.
A vehicle should be thoroughly cleaned before being rented out. Despite the car running fine, I would not rent it again.
