All-terrain tires during summer months. IMPORTANT: Electric cars require a bit more planning. Depending on the charger setup, charging can be slow. I highly recommend that you charge at night, meaning that you stay at a hotel or lodging that has an electric charger. Many hotels offer "tesla destination" chargers, which will work great with the Rivian with the adapter that is always in the front trunk. The car also comes with an adapter to use Tesla supercharging stations, for which you'll need to download the Tesla app to pay for the supercharging session. ANYONE CAN RENT THIS CAR BUT IT'S REALLY THERE FOR MY SKI FRIENDS IN THE WINTER: 1. Traction perfection. The car has great snow tires. When combined with the 4WD and the distributed battery weight, this is the ultimate yuppy snow tank. The added traction of the 4WD and snow tires will make sure you get through the snow safely with good traction. You'll appreciate getting up the Cottonwood Canyons in a jiffy. 2. Top frontrunner rack. Easy to lash down all types of things, including bags, skis, snowboards, etc. Also Trailer hitch Ski rack (six pairs of skis) free and available if needed.
