Guidelines

Instant booking is available. No need to wait for approval! We are always on time and never cancel trips. Delivery and pick up is easy and we will do all we can to accommodate your needs. We have multiple pick up and drop off locations! Ski racks are available for this car, you will need to add them as an extra, as we do not allow skis to be in the back of our vehicles, so you will need to add them as an extra. Car seats, strollers, coolers and camp chairs and other items are available for all our cars as an extra. You can add them to your trip on the Details page under Modify Trip. You must fill the car with the correct fuel only or you will gum up the catalytic converter which in some of my cars is a $2,500 mistake. We have a prepaid refuel option for you if you want a hassle free trip, or there’s a gas station at the airport. We do not allow skis in the back of any of our cars, unless they are not available for your particular car, so you will need to rent ski racks as an extra if they are available for the car you are renting. We ask that the car be returned with a clean interior and exterior. It doesn't have to be spotless, but we do expect the car to be tidy. We have included return instructions for you in the glove box of every car. There will be absolutely no smoking, vaping or pets in any of our vehicles. It really kills any resale value it may have and is extremely difficult to remove, which could be your responsibility. Again, please, we ask that you do not smoke in this car! We run this business from our detail shop located at an off-site airport parking lot minutes from the airport and we know the needs of travelers coming to Utah.   • What happens if I am late picking up the car or dropping it off?

    You will need to change your trip details date and time in the app. This will make the times and dates match and verify if the car is available for those times. When dropping it off, it will typically be the same instructions you received to pick up the car. If you are going to be late, you could be interfering with the next renter. By law, as in many states, we have to report the car as missing after it is 1 hour late so we can make sure we are covered by insurance, so please make sure you are on time or have changed your trip details to match.

  • Are the miles for a trip flexible?

    Yes, you can choose to add extra miles for a fee. You can change this under Trip Extras.

  • Do I need to return the car washed and cleaned?

    Yes, it is customary when renting cars out on a car sharing platform, that you return them washed and cleaned and prepared for the next renter.

  • What happens if I put the wrong type of fuel in the vehicle?

    Most of our cars use Premium Fuel or Diesel Fuel only. If the proper fuel is not used, you will gum up the catalytic converter which, in some of my cars, is $2,500 to repair. It is very costly if the wrong gas is used and it would be at your expense. We will do our best to work it out with your insurance company, but it isn’t often covered.

  • If I lock the keys in the car or lose the keys, what happens?

    Most cars need to be towed to the dealership to have computerized machines reprogram the keys to the make and model of car. So, it typically costs a towing fee, a replacement fob, and then a key reprogramming fee. This can be as high as $750 in expenses. Please do not lose or lock keys in the car.

  • What should I know about insurance and how it works?

    You should check with your own personal insurance company and make sure you are covered when renting a car from a car sharing company insurance program. We have learned that often there are different rules for car sharing companies with your credit card insurance and with your own personal insurance as we are not a car rental company. You need to make sure you are covered. If there is a problem, we will be contacting your insurance company and working directly with them.

  • What happens if I get into an accident?

    We ask you to message us on the app immediately and we will assist you in the proper steps to take. We will make sure we qualify for coverage with your personal insurance company. You will want to call the local police station and get an accident report number. Also, you will need to get a copy of the other party's drivers license and insurance information. After messaging us on the app, you can call our 800-346-1395 Jay or one of his co-host numbers available to answer your questions.

  • I accidently got a crack in the windshield. What should I do?

    A couple options are, you can take it to a local windshield glass shop and return the car as you received it or we can have shops we work with fix it after the trip. However, you will pay a small convenience fee and up to the cost of the windshield.

  • If the car has a Check Engine or Tire Pressure light on, what should I do?

    Before each rental we do all we can to make sure the check engine lights are off and the tire pressure monitors are working and we check them before and after each trip. However, if something does go wrong, we will contact our mechanic and communicate with him what is happening and he will give us direct feedback. 97% of the time the check engine lights are not a problem, and with the different temperatures in Utah, the Tire Pressures Maintenance Lights often go on and off with the change of temperature.

  • What happens if the tires look like they need to be replaced? Should I be concerned?

    We want you to feel safe and comfortable in our cars. We equip all our cars with all season tires. We believe these are the most cost efficient and effective tires on the market especially with the snowy days in Utah. If for any reason, you feel they need to be replaced, we will replace them for you. We have contracts with several tire locations up and down the Wasatch Front.

  • What happens if the car breaks down and I need a new vehicle?

    With being one of the largest hosts in Utah, we can assist you with this better than most. I will look through my personal inventory and typically replace your car with a nicer and newer car than the one you rented.

  • Do you allow your cars to travel out of state?

    Yes! Please stay within the allowed milage or upgrade to unlimited miles to avoid additional charges.

  • What happens if there are small dings, scratches and rim rash on the vehicle?

    We ask for you to be responsible and do your best to avoid these little tiny issues. We understand things are going to happen, but they do hurt the resale value of our cars. We ask you to let us know about the little things that happen to a car and if it is large enough and a big enough issue, we will ask for compensation.

  • What happens if the windshield gets cracked on the car?

    You will be responsible for paying the full amount for the windshield if it cracks during your trip.

PLEASE READ:
We were left stranded with a flat after reporting low tire at pick up and receiving no response. It caused us to miss our flight home and be late returning. Not only did Jay deny there was an issue at pick up, he charged us late fees and additional usage. Jay did offer this: “Dude fyi I can teach how to put air in a tire also csn teach than when I rate ya my vehicle won’t ever show up for you. But yea keep being ignorant in your life and we will see how it serves ya.” Turo did apologize profusely for Jay’s behavior and refunded us immediately upon discovering Jay was at fault. Good thing we took photos at pick up and reported issues in the app.

Also, you may want to know:
-Turo does not charge a cleaning fee unless you abuse the vehicle. Jay will tell you Turo charges you this but that he will waive it if you leave him a 5 star review.
-Turo prohibits Venmo as this puts the guest at risk. Jay will ask you to tip all of his employees via Venmo.
-Turo requires vehicles to be secured via lockbox or remote unlock. Jay does not secure vehicles. He leaves keys in unlocked car and instructs you to do the same upon return.

I’m guessing Jay will respond to this review in a way to attempt to discredit what I am sharing. But you never know, maybe he will surprise us all.

And yes, I did spend some time on this review as it could help someone else avoid finding themselves in this same situation. Please do your due diligence and read his negative reviews. Wish we had.

Guidelines

Instant booking is available. No need to wait for approval! We are always on time and never cancel trips. Delivery and pick up is easy and we will do all we can to accommodate your needs. We have multiple pick up and drop off locations! Ski racks are available for this car, you will need to add them as an extra, as we do not allow skis to be in the back of our vehicles, so you will need to add them as an extra. Car seats, strollers, coolers and camp chairs and other items are available for all our cars as an extra. You can add them to your trip on the Details page under Modify Trip. You must fill the car with the correct fuel only or you will gum up the catalytic converter which in some of my cars is a $2,500 mistake. We have a prepaid refuel option for you if you want a hassle free trip, or there’s a gas station at the airport. We do not allow skis in the back of any of our cars, unless they are not available for your particular car, so you will need to rent ski racks as an extra if they are available for the car you are renting. We ask that the car be returned with a clean interior and exterior. It doesn't have to be spotless, but we do expect the car to be tidy. We have included return instructions for you in the glove box of every car. There will be absolutely no smoking, vaping or pets in any of our vehicles. It really kills any resale value it may have and is extremely difficult to remove, which could be your responsibility. Again, please, we ask that you do not smoke in this car! We run this business from our detail shop located at an off-site airport parking lot minutes from the airport and we know the needs of travelers coming to Utah.   • What happens if I am late picking up the car or dropping it off?

    You will need to change your trip details date and time in the app. This will make the times and dates match and verify if the car is available for those times. When dropping it off, it will typically be the same instructions you received to pick up the car. If you are going to be late, you could be interfering with the next renter. By law, as in many states, we have to report the car as missing after it is 1 hour late so we can make sure we are covered by insurance, so please make sure you are on time or have changed your trip details to match.

  • Are the miles for a trip flexible?

    Yes, you can choose to add extra miles for a fee. You can change this under Trip Extras.

  • Do I need to return the car washed and cleaned?

    Yes, it is customary when renting cars out on a car sharing platform, that you return them washed and cleaned and prepared for the next renter.

  • What happens if I put the wrong type of fuel in the vehicle?

    Most of our cars use Premium Fuel or Diesel Fuel only. If the proper fuel is not used, you will gum up the catalytic converter which, in some of my cars, is $2,500 to repair. It is very costly if the wrong gas is used and it would be at your expense. We will do our best to work it out with your insurance company, but it isn’t often covered.

  • If I lock the keys in the car or lose the keys, what happens?

    Most cars need to be towed to the dealership to have computerized machines reprogram the keys to the make and model of car. So, it typically costs a towing fee, a replacement fob, and then a key reprogramming fee. This can be as high as $750 in expenses. Please do not lose or lock keys in the car.

  • What should I know about insurance and how it works?

    You should check with your own personal insurance company and make sure you are covered when renting a car from a car sharing company insurance program. We have learned that often there are different rules for car sharing companies with your credit card insurance and with your own personal insurance as we are not a car rental company. You need to make sure you are covered. If there is a problem, we will be contacting your insurance company and working directly with them.

  • What happens if I get into an accident?

    We ask you to message us on the app immediately and we will assist you in the proper steps to take. We will make sure we qualify for coverage with your personal insurance company. You will want to call the local police station and get an accident report number. Also, you will need to get a copy of the other party's drivers license and insurance information. After messaging us on the app, you can call our 800-346-1395 Jay or one of his co-host numbers available to answer your questions.

  • I accidently got a crack in the windshield. What should I do?

    A couple options are, you can take it to a local windshield glass shop and return the car as you received it or we can have shops we work with fix it after the trip. However, you will pay a small convenience fee and up to the cost of the windshield.

  • If the car has a Check Engine or Tire Pressure light on, what should I do?

    Before each rental we do all we can to make sure the check engine lights are off and the tire pressure monitors are working and we check them before and after each trip. However, if something does go wrong, we will contact our mechanic and communicate with him what is happening and he will give us direct feedback. 97% of the time the check engine lights are not a problem, and with the different temperatures in Utah, the Tire Pressures Maintenance Lights often go on and off with the change of temperature.

  • What happens if the tires look like they need to be replaced? Should I be concerned?

    We want you to feel safe and comfortable in our cars. We equip all our cars with all season tires. We believe these are the most cost efficient and effective tires on the market especially with the snowy days in Utah. If for any reason, you feel they need to be replaced, we will replace them for you. We have contracts with several tire locations up and down the Wasatch Front.

  • What happens if the car breaks down and I need a new vehicle?

    With being one of the largest hosts in Utah, we can assist you with this better than most. I will look through my personal inventory and typically replace your car with a nicer and newer car than the one you rented.

  • Do you allow your cars to travel out of state?

    Yes! Please stay within the allowed milage or upgrade to unlimited miles to avoid additional charges.

  • What happens if there are small dings, scratches and rim rash on the vehicle?

    We ask for you to be responsible and do your best to avoid these little tiny issues. We understand things are going to happen, but they do hurt the resale value of our cars. We ask you to let us know about the little things that happen to a car and if it is large enough and a big enough issue, we will ask for compensation.

  • What happens if the windshield gets cracked on the car?

    You will be responsible for paying the full amount for the windshield if it cracks during your trip.

PLEASE READ:
We were left stranded with a flat after reporting low tire at pick up and receiving no response. It caused us to miss our flight home and be late returning. Not only did Jay deny there was an issue at pick up, he charged us late fees and additional usage. Jay did offer this: “Dude fyi I can teach how to put air in a tire also csn teach than when I rate ya my vehicle won’t ever show up for you. But yea keep being ignorant in your life and we will see how it serves ya.” Turo did apologize profusely for Jay’s behavior and refunded us immediately upon discovering Jay was at fault. Good thing we took photos at pick up and reported issues in the app.

Also, you may want to know:
-Turo does not charge a cleaning fee unless you abuse the vehicle. Jay will tell you Turo charges you this but that he will waive it if you leave him a 5 star review.
-Turo prohibits Venmo as this puts the guest at risk. Jay will ask you to tip all of his employees via Venmo.
-Turo requires vehicles to be secured via lockbox or remote unlock. Jay does not secure vehicles. He leaves keys in unlocked car and instructs you to do the same upon return.

I’m guessing Jay will respond to this review in a way to attempt to discredit what I am sharing. But you never know, maybe he will surprise us all.

And yes, I did spend some time on this review as it could help someone else avoid finding themselves in this same situation. Please do your due diligence and read his negative reviews. Wish we had.

Yea my staff works hard and never get tipped and I personally love, love, love to tip the hard working class and he was beyond ignorant to them.
