Overall, this car was functional for our week stay in California and got us from Sacramento to Yosemite then to San Fransisco and back. The car was clean and check in was easy ( we did have to pay two dollars for parking over the 4 that was covered, but that was not a big deal). The car did struggle slightly on some of the mountains in and around Yosemite, which was unexpected for the 4x4. The reason for the low rating came after the rental was dropped off. I was contacted by Expedient Motors asking if we had a pet in the vehicle because there were “white hairs all over the inside”. I replied that we did not have pets with us and the response that I got was “that’s interesting because there were white hairs everywhere”. I felt this was implying I was lying and was insulting. I have 3 dogs and cats at home, but I ensured the renter that we did not fly with them to California. He did send pictures of the hairs and unsurprisingly with the animals at home, there were white hairs in the back where the bags were and on the floor boards. We went between 4 different hotels and spent A TON of time in the car including getting in and out of the bags and I was not surprised at all that we had brought some dog hair with us. I would have been happy to reimburse the cost of vacuuming, but I do not appreciate the implication that I was lying or how the subject was approached.

Sorry we hurt your “feelings” by simply asking a perfectly reasonable question about the white pet hair left all over the car. We asked what happened, you said you did not have pets with you, and nobody called you a liar. Apparently, these days even a simple question about the condition of a rental car can be emotionally devastating.

Our Turo host was great at communicating and was responsive to questions. They accommodated my group and I for an easy pick up at the airport. Would absolutely recommend!!
