Car quality good and clean, but very squeaky (rear?) brakes. Car was so clean the mats were super slippery, in a dangerous way! My wife and I both slipped out of the car on the first day nearly injuring ourselves. Overall car 4.5/5. Host and Turo customer service 2/5. Would not rent again. Nightmare experience having lost my license on our trip to destination. Host was ZERO help, almost confrontational. Turo support was awful, awful. They basically told me several times to cancel (incur full non-refundable cost) and then rebook at now higher price due to short notice. Finally, one mentioned an idea to get a temp license online from my state. That worked but I had to print it out and retake all my photos. Sounds easy — it was not. Pickup was delayed by a day, cost me insane stress and $100 or so in Ubers and temp license. All this despite traveling with a licensed driver who was already added to the reservation. Absolute nightmare. Questioning whether I will ever use Turo again based on this experience.
I’m sorry the experience was frustrating. Turo requires a valid driver’s license prior to vehicle release, and I’m unable to bypass that requirement for safety and compliance reasons. I did my best to provide guidance within those constraints. I will review the feedback regarding the vehicle. Wishing you the best in future travels.
