For pick-up and drop-off, it's great; the issue with the car is okay. The check engine light popped up, and the host was responsive.
The scenario..
At first, we tried to rent the car and the host cancelled the trip at almost 7 pm, on short notice to look for another vehicle to be rented on 8/1/2026 at 00:30am for the pickup day,
They said the warning lights popped up and then they fixed it.
We messages them and what's the reason of cancelling and then they said it's fixed and we can rented it again in turo app and for us taking risk because we do not have any options and nothing is available to pick up around 00:30 dated 8/1/2026, and While driving, the warning lights for the check engine (08/05/2026) and TC suddenly appeared (08/03/2026)and the vehicle struggled to climb hills, and there was a loud clicking sound on the right driver side like cracking sound and it's loud and we stopped on the right side for awhile to check..
And then when I am stepping on the gas, it's kind of a little harder And it became really difficult to accelerate and we messaged the host asking for assistance almost 11 but they did not respond and they said the next day that it is okay to drive because the code is P3055 means nothing is wrong with the vehicle. (host said)
I don't have any choice but to drive the car slowly going home making sure that we are all gonna be safe going home.
At first, the vehicle was fine, but the thing is I know that we took the risk of renting it but they said they fixed the problem and they still want customers to rent the vehicle even though the vehicle has a
problem, and it mentally scares me while on the
freeway.
Next time do not take any risks. (I know we did)
Returned the car clean , I did not manage the gas ,did not see the first pic that it was almost a full tank, and the mileage was reasonable for the rate
Overall, it's good. The driver is honest about the situation
