The Range Rover Sport had a low coolant warning light on when I picked it up. I notified the host, who said it had recently been filled and that the system just needed to be reset, so we proceeded with the trip.

Two days later, when we took the vehicle on the highway, it developed a severe vibration above 55 mph. It was bad enough that we couldn’t safely drive the speed limit (70–75 mph). My family of four was traveling a long distance at night and we were already too far from the pickup location to reasonably return the car.

The next morning I checked the coolant reservoir and found it completely empty. With the owner’s approval, I took the vehicle to a tire shop to have the tires inspected and balanced. The shop found the tires were severely out of balance, worn down, and the brake pads needed replacement. They also identified a coolant leak coming from the water pump. On top of that, the vehicle did not have a spare tire.

The owner also acknowledged that there had been prior damage to the rear wheel area from a previous renter, yet the vehicle was still rented out to me in this condition.

Overall, the vehicle was not safe to drive on the highway and appears to be significantly behind on maintenance and repairs. This car should not have been rented out in its current condition.
