This has been the worst experience I've ever had while renting a vehicle. I signed up for this app with normal expectations of a rental company. One night into the rental trip I experienced a flat tire. I followed all of the Turo procedures, contact d the host, contacted Turo and I had already purchased the additional a optional emergency coverage. I looked for a spare tire since I was in a rural area. No spare. I had to get air until the next morning for a tow. Then it was removed and towed to the dealership of the host. No communication all day. Barely a response at night. I requested a cancellation of the trip since I had no vehicle and didn't believe I should be paying for a vehicle I had zero access to. However it was denied. At every turn I have experienced nothing but frustration, lack of communication, lack of support, lack of a vehicle, unfair payment for additional charges, inaccurate invoicing, and when I disputed the charges and sought reimbursement for the days that I DID NOT HAVE THE VEHICLE, I was still forced to follow their procedures which benefits the host and not the customer. Now I have paid for days that I didn't have the rental at all, as well as the bill for the repair and fuel. I don't even mind that fee. However, the car was towed and I didn't have access to the vehicle. I sought reimbursement from Turo from the point that the car left my possession. Instead I was made to pay for the days that I didn't even have the vehicle. All that to say I will NEVER USE TURO AGAIN. I recommend that anyone who uses this service be fully aware of the risk you take while renting from this service. Even if you purchase additional coverage it may not guarantee that you will actually receive it. Good luck and I hope your experience is better than mine. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO ANYONE. Zero stars. Horrible experience.
I’m sorry the trip became frustrating after the flat tire situation. This was a brand new 2026 vehicle on its first trip. The flat tire resulted from road hazard damage during the trip, not a pre-existing issue with the vehicle. The vehicle included the manufacturer-provided tire inflator kit, which is standard for many newer vehicles. Once the issue was reported, I responded and directed the guest to Turo roadside assistance while following Turo’s required procedures.
No smoking allowed
Smoking in any Turo vehicle will result in a $150 fine

Unreasonably dirty vehicles may result in a $150 fine
Refuel the vehicle
Missing fuel may result in an additional fee
