Car was great, but host was not responsive to communication and was a few minutes late to vehicle drop off. Notification that the car was available for pickup about 30 minutes before it was there and without responses to messages resulted in a concerning wait at the airport pickup location.

Overall more expensive than traditional car rentals. Uber to and from pick up and drop off location adds cost. The hosts were nice but not flexible in pick up and drop location

⚠️ BEWARE — Rented this vehicle and within 4.5 miles the rear passenger tire had a complete blowout with sidewall damage. The host came to retrieve the car (I had paid for roadside assistance) and had it for 4 hours while he took care of the repair. When he returned the car, his entire family was with him in the vehicle.
Here's where it gets worse: he then asked me to split the $460 repair bill with him — including personal add-ons like lifetime tire rotations and balancing that benefit him, not me. On top of that, he charged me for 20 miles over the mileage limit, miles that were driven on MY rental during the 4 hours HE had the car making the repair run.
A tire with sidewall damage doesn't fail in 4.5 miles of normal driving — this was a pre-existing condition on a poorly maintained vehicle. Instead of taking responsibility, this host tried to pass his maintenance costs onto the renter and charge for mileage he put on the car himself.
Do yourself a favor and rent from someone who maintains their vehicle and stands behind it. This host does neither.
