Car was exactly as promised and seemed clean and well taken care of. Owner was very quick at responding to any inquiries and easily adjusted to any changes we needed (had to push our drop off time out 1 hour). The delivery and drop-off of the vehicle was a little unusual and I wasn't exactly sure how it would work, but the owner who goes by Paul was again quick to respond when I sent a question through the turo messenger.
Never having driven a Tesla before, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, so getting the hang of it was not without its head scratching moments. While definitely different than anything I'd previously driven, once you learn the basics it's pretty intuitive. My kids and a few fanatical drivers on the road thought the car was pretty rad.
If you're needing room for 5 however this model Y may not be the most ideal. While it definitely got the job done, it was just a bit cramped in the back and even with small kids it was hard for the middle seat to get buckled. I rented an electric vehicle to avoid CA had prices and while I think I maybe came out on top in that department, the limited ability to charge and the 200 mile range was intimidating. These things are definitely not a fault of the owner of the vehicle, but more just things I should have researched better before choosing a rental.
Overall I feel Paul and his Pokemon Tesla were great and I would certainly rent from him again the next time we visit the So Cal area.
