This car was great but this company charged me for a current trip after i had already extended the trip. It’s like i was charged extra after I had already paid to extend.

I don’t understand this comment. You had a longer trip you shortened the trip and were charged for the amount of days used.
It’s impossible for a host to charge you for more days. It’s automated my Turo. You might have been talking about the electric car charging fees from the previous reservation.
