The car we rented from Kris broke down and he arrived without the replacement vehicle he'd promised, instead suggesting an AutoZone battery fix that may or may not have worked. We arranged our own transportation because we had to be somewhere while he eventually dropped a working car. Afterwards he was quite rude in his communications and was not understanding of the inconvenience or willing to provide any compensation - even just for gas! Car troubles happen, but leaving customers stranded and then framing a basic resolution as generosity is not acceptable hosting. We would not rent from Kris again.

This review was left on the replacement vehicle, not the original one the guest claimed had issues. The guest said the car “shut down,” but their dashboard photo showed ~800 RPM. The vehicle also conveniently stopped just 2 minutes’ walking distance from their home. I provided a replacement car within 2 hours. Turo required a $250 ASE inspection, which found no issues and the vehicle was relisted. The guest also requested extra free days in exchange for a 5-star review, which I declined.
