I rented this car to attend my Aunt’s funeral and from the beginning, I knew it was a bad idea once I saw the car looking different from the image I had rented. There was several rust in dents on the exterior of the vehicle. In the interior, there was damaged to the seats (mainly driver seat), and the driver’s seat belt was damaged as well. But because it took 1hour to locate it because of not clear directions from the host, and another 1hour to find the key; had to call customer service for help since the host replied extremely late; this delayed my trip 2hours but I still decided to use the service against all my being.

Literally on the day of my Aunt’s funeral, after leaving the church the car’s battery light was on, there was no heat, and the steering wheel was difficult; I knew something bad was coming. Finally parked the car and then it died completely. It wouldn’t start NOTHING.

After talking to customer service, they basically left my family stranded in Canada, and told us to either try to make it to American soil then they would give us a ride or to ask the tow company for a ride back but it’s a 50/50 chance (with 2small kids) i needed a more guaranteed especially when it was in the negatives. Anyways, I had to go the Canadian airport , to walk about 2miles to then take a pack shuttle to rent a vehicle. Praise God, we finally found a company that was willing for us to drop it off on American soil.
Now, knowing that I am new to the app, they never told me to end my reservation because they were going to tow their vehicle back to the states. I saw two messages saying that I was late to checking out and that extra fees may be charged to me.

I did not properly process my Aunt’s death and now I have to deal with this nonsense. Why couldn’t the customer rep canceled my reservation once the car was out of commission and/or towed into their possession. I spoke to them and they had to walk me through the process but I did inform them of my concerns. I will be calling them back in the morning about reimburses with this reservation and with my new reservation that I had to pay to come home safely to my home, and my cat. Overall bad, horrible experience as it was my first using Turor but the host when speaking to him about the car giving me issues actually apologized. Not one person actually said sorry that you had been experiencing a bad experience and/or sorry for your loss so when the host said sorry for the bad experience, I really do appreciate it. Only the morning will tell if these Turor reps are true to their word because they had promised full reimbursements
