Really amazing car for my Birthday weekend. The host is a great communicator when I need anything. Will rent again.

The car itself earns 5 stars: the Macan EV drove beautifully and I'd rent this model again in a heartbeat. The car was pretty clean upon pick up and the pick up process was seamless.
But the overall experience pulled the rating down, and Turo's system doesn't let me rate those separately.
The charging cable wasn't in the car at pickup. I checked every spot the host suggested before messaging her, and I guessed the previous renter had kept it, which she confirmed must have happened. She told me she was getting a new cable to me as quickly as possible more than once. She offered to reimburse public charging in the meantime, but the nearest fast charger had a wasp nest in the charging machine and I got stung trying to use it. I ended up borrowing a Tesla charger from family and buying a $200 adapter to make it work.
Over the course of the week-long rental, the host messaged a couple of times to say she was working on getting me a replacement cable. Three days before the rental ended, she told me she wasn't able to get one after all. A replacement cable is a same-day or at most a 2 day delivery Amazon order in most cities, so five-plus days without one wasn't a supply problem, it was a response-time problem.
A car with no charging cable and no real way to charge it isn't fully ready to rent, and that's worth knowing before you book this one. Not everyone has the ability to charge from home with the correct charging cable/adapter and the car comes with a cable as standard equipment.

Our vehicles are fully equipped at every handoff; this was not a preparation oversight on our part. We followed up during your trip and have since addressed it. Guests are held accountable for missing equipment.
