The facility to pick up and drop off was not friendly as we are local and didnt ride their transit. They wanted us to pay $8 to access the car, refusing to lift the gate to even turn around in their lot. That meant backing up the cars piling in behind us so we could park outside their property (with a cane) and walking through the garage with cars whipping by. When we went to drop it off the lot was full and even though we were going to pay it wouldn't issue a ticket. That meant walking through the structure again. Ugh.
The owners were VERY concerned about who was renting the car, despite my positive ratings from past Turo rentals. So, even though Turo had my DL, I was required to upload a picture to the owners. This felt intrusive but I chalked it up to being a higher value car than the others. But then I also had to send a picture of myself at the car to prove it was me. Maybe that would have been fine but they wouldn't send the unlock code until this was done, and we were left waiting in 107 weather in the sun after walking across the facility as our text went to their spam folder. I had to call them to get the code.
Overall I did not enjoy or appreciate the inconveniences with the pickup/dropoff. That said, the car was nice. Functioned as expected. And we made some great memories!
They seem like nice people, it was just not a great experience for us. Your mileage may vary.
