This was my first time using Turo. The car I reserved was swapped for a different vehicle. The vehicle I did receive had damage all over it, a strong cover-up odor inside of it, and the suspension was bad on it. One of the exterior door panel trim looked like it had been caulked onto the door itself. I received very little communication from the host, which was surprising for someone with nearly 5 stars. The car had 2 bars of fuel but nothing in the booking showed how full or empty the fuel should have been. I asked the host to verify the low amount of fuel and my messages were dismissed and not answered. I returned the vehicle early and the Turo app would not allow an early drop off. By the time I was able to formally “drop off” it was 9 hours later and over my drop off time. I documented my actual drop off time in case the host and Turo give me grief and try to charge me. To all who rent: I advise taking LOTS of pics and a video of everything! From the wheels to the dash to the fabric etc. This car was horrible on the outside and smelly on the inside. I regret allowing myself to choose it over the one that I had originally chosen. Had I chosen a different vehicle from someone else on short notice, it would have cost me more money. It was unfair. The host offered no apologizes or incentives for canceling the original vehicle I reserved. Overall, not a great experience with this host nor with Turo. I will try again on my next trip and if I have the same or similar issues, then I will say F Turo and just use regular car rentals.

The car was empty when I picked it up and there was no resolution but bring it back empty. The trip was fine other than that.
