The clean, sporty 2020 Ecosport, which we picked up at Pensacola Airport and drove to our vacation condo in Gulf Shores, began leaking oil a day into our 1-week rental. Someone was sent to take a look, and ultimately it was towed away. I was not given a full refund - just a partial refund. The host offered me a different vehicle (2025 or 2026 large SUV) but insisted he could NOT give me that vehicle at the same cost I would have paid for the remainder of the week with the Ecosport. Additionally he was not willing to deliver the vehicle to my location, even if I had been willing to pay the high cost - more than DOUBLE what I had agreed to pay for 1 week with the Ecosport. The host did not stand by the quality of his product and I was left without a vehicle. This host sponsors several vehicles and claimed that there was a rental car shortage but I did not find this to be the case. It boiled down to his unwillingness to replace the towed vehicle at the same or similar cost at my location. The customer cannot trust the host to stand by his product. This was my second experience with Turo. The first one was in 2023 and went great, no issues. But after this second experience, being stranded without a vehicle, I will no longer be using this app.
