We were having an app issue that was getting fixed and the host did not allow us to rent car. This is understandable however the host didn’t tell us this until we were landed at a tiny airport in middle of nowhere without transportation. Turo tried calling the host several times to explain the app issue however the host was very hard to get ahold of. Live and learn… hoping to get a refund if he will do the right thing.
The individual who arrived did not match the approved renter; both name and date of birth differed from the reservation. Access was denied per Turo policy. The discrepancy was communicated starting around 3:00 PM, with continued contact throughout the day. At approximately 7:00 PM, the individual was advised to contact Turo directly. As a courtesy, local taxi information was provided. The situation was handled in compliance with platform guidelines and safety protocols.

The car was in great condition and drove well. I had a little bit of a problem getting into the car because they had forgot to send the lock box code but other than that everything worked out fine.
