Renter beware: you're renting from a "business" (lol), not a local owner trying to make a little on the side.
Car was fine but clearly isnt maintained as anything other than a low-cost rental.
The issues I have was with pickup and return.
I'm unfamiliar with MCO and didn't know the parking situation. Host picked the cheapest solution for their car, which is understandable. The annoying thing was they didnt coordinate or ask for any information from me and ended up parking it in a lot that we couldn't access from our terminal. I was traveling with my wife and toddler so we had a decent amount of baggage. Needing to walk across 2 terminals to take a 10 minute shuttle to pick up the car wasnt the best start. To boot, the fee we paid to get out of the lot ended up being the max daily rate, which means the host parked at least 3 hours before the start of my trip because I picked it up right on time. Again, not completely out of the realm of expected with Turo, but could have easily been less had the host cared to coordinate better.
I was looking past this until the host wanted to nickel and dime me over the state of gas when we returned the car. Long story short, we returned with 2 gallons less than we picked up (I did the math from our gas mileage when we filled up and the host was 1 gallon shy of full when we picked it up). The state of gas wasnt intentional. We ended up burning extra gas without having the opportinity to fill up on the way in to MCO for various reasons.
We returned a full day earlier than we paid for and end up being charged $25 for 3 gallons of gas for the host's "convenience."
Cool. Technically correct from the host, but being an ass because you can doesn't make you less of an ass. Should've gone with Hertz.
I'm sure he'll rate me the same 🤷♂️
