I picked up the vehicle and had it for approximately two hours before it began shutting down while I was driving in traffic. The entire vehicle lost electrical power, leaving it completely unresponsive. I had to attempt to restart it three to four times with the key before it would finally turn back on. This happened multiple times in traffic, creating a very concerning and potentially dangerous situation.
When I contacted Turo for roadside assistance, my experience with customer service was equally disappointing. My initial request for roadside assistance was never properly submitted, so no roadside assistance ticket was created. As I spoke with multiple customer service representatives, I was repeatedly given conflicting information, which made an already stressful situation even more frustrating and delayed getting the assistance I needed.
The host picked up the vehicle a few hours later and stated that it was operating normally. However, after speaking with her, she acknowledged that the vehicle had just recently been in the shop because of transmission issues. While driving, I also noticed the transmission slipping, although I believe that issue was separate from the complete electrical shutdowns the vehicle experienced.
What I found most concerning was that the host insisted the vehicle had not actually died and suggested that I was operating it incorrectly. Respectfully, I disagree. The vehicle operated normally for the first couple of hours, and then it completely lost power several times while I was driving. A vehicle that repeatedly shuts off in traffic and requires multiple attempts to restart presents a legitimate safety concern. The fact that it may have operated normally afterward does not negate what occurred during my rental. Based on my experience, the vehicle appears to have multiple mechanical issues, and I do not believe it was fair or appropriate to dismiss my concerns or suggest they were the result of operator error. I won’t be using Turo again.

The transmission was not slipping and still not slipping as I am writing the response, I brought every vehicle for transmission service every 6 months or 30000 miles whichever comes first. if anyone buys a new vehicle now go to traffic and you be the juge. Some people tried to restart it after shutting off which is a mistake, I will not allow someone to say something about my vehicles which is not accurate,.You wanted to return the vehicle, you dd after using 1/4 of the tank
