The car had some rough spots of heavy wear in the interior and some some cosmetic scratches and small dents on the outside. Mechanically the SUV seemed fine.

Although Steve’s communication and how easy the pick up and drop off was my rating is not based on that. The reason I gave it a three star is because the front seat and the passenger seat both had big holes in the seat cushions like a dog had chewed through them, the car was not clean at all. In fact the floor mats were dirty, and there were crumbs and debris all over the place in that car. Finally the most disturbing of our trip was the pungent smell of cigarettes in the car when we first picked it up, even though it had a five star rating I would not rate this a five star experience.

The seats cushions were ripped by a guest’s dog.
This is on the viewable photos. It does mot impact the purpose of using a host’s car. It’s not Hertz.
The car is always washed and cleaned (but not polished).
Nicholas left the vehicle a mess. But as it’s a guest who is driving a personal car, I took for a wash.
