The host is extremely controlling, they have an array of unnecessary rules and micromanage every move you make. You will feel watched as they screenshot and send to you your driving patterns. They also insist that you meet them in person, send them a photo of you and a photo of your id in order to get the car which wastes time and defeats the purpose of booking through an app like Turo. If the choice is between this host and rental services where you must wait lines at the airport you should choose those services. To put the icing on the garbage cake they sit there and have you waiting in order to have off the car then proceed to bill you for incidents like “braking too hard” and driving anywhere over 80mph.
This host should not be in the business of working with adults because they clearly don’t know how to do so.
Our listing clearly states we meet in person for the key handover, which you agreed to.
We also notify every renter upfront that the vehicle is monitored for safety. The system warns at speeds over 80 mph. You were recorded driving at 94 mph — well into excessive speeding territory.
This data protects both parties in the event of a serious accident. At that speed, any crash could have been fatal.
Our policies are fully disclosed in advance for everyone’s safety.

It was great and Lora and hani were great!! Perfect communication and on time definitely will be renting a car from them again when needed!!

Car drove super weird. Kept switching gears by itself as if to go into neutral. Owners disabled touchscreen and left phone in car to track you. Just very uncomfortable experience overall

The occasional gear shifting you noticed is normal behavior on the 2023 Jeep Compass (a Stellantis vehicle) — it can briefly go into neutral or "freewheel" under certain conditions as part of its fuel-saving and efficiency programming. This is how the vehicle is designed to operate.
Regarding the touchscreen: it was not disabled. The phone in the car by mistake after the previous trip.
