I rented the vehicle because I needed to transport my guests, a couple with two small children, to and from the airport. The first car I rented leaked old, black motor oil up and down my driveway. The owner replaced the car but refused to clean up the mess on my driveway. The car switch prompted a rating request. I gave a low rating because I was busy with guests and could not refill the tank before the exchange occurred and was charged a refill fee. Then, as I was placing the children's car seats in the car to take my guests to the airport I was informed by Turo that the owner needed the car back immediately. I explained that I would return the car as soon as I returned from the airport. The owner remotely deactivated the car. I had to get my guests to the airport in my car which was too small to fit the children's car seat which caused my guests no end of anxiety over the safety of their children. The owner initially gave me till 7:00 pm to return it but then reneged, inactivated the car and stranded me. I believe she did this in retaliation for the bad rating I left for giving me a vehicle that leaked motor oil all over my drive way. Buyer beware. This one is dangerous.

Pacific Sound Auto Rentals's response

Pacific Sound Auto Rentals immediately provided a replacement vehicle after an oil leak was identified. Property damage concerns, including the reported driveway spill, are appropriately addressed through Turo’s claims process. The Suburban return was scheduled for 10:00am and had another confirmed guest, making a 6:30pm return unworkable. After unsuccessful attempts to coordinate through Turo, owner recovery was necessary. We strive to resolve concerns promptly while honoring reservations.
