I cannot recommend renting this vehicle. It was poorly maintained, unsafe to drive, and the host offered zero support when the car eventually broke down. the car’s electrical system failed completely. The alarm triggered uncontrollably and the engine would not start.Despite reporting these issues, the host was unhelpful, offered no assistance when the vehicle became undrivable. I was forced to coordinate with roadside assistance and corporate customer service myself to resolve the situation. Save yourself the stress and book with someone who prioritizes vehicle safety and guest communication.
We were informed the car wouldn’t start so we asked that Turo be contacted so the car could be towed to the mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed a problem with the key that had worked perfectly for multiple days. The renter damaged the key so that the anti-theft system wouldn’t allow the car to be started. The other key we had worked normally and the car was fine. We are sorry this happened but it was out of our control.
