Just to level set, I’m 5 months pregnant traveling with my 2 year old. I had an appointment 1 hour and a half after landing and I needed to ensure I beat the potential tunnel traffic. Usually when I have booked with Turo, the host sends details 30 min prior. This host waited until the exact booking time to provide directions as I am making my way from the terminal. Again, I’ve used Turo before so I didn’t plan to start the reservation early just needed to be organized.
As I am hustling with a sleepy toddler I forgot to take an immediate picture of the gas tank. It was above half, about 178 miles til empty. However, I still snapped a picture for uploading later. A day before returning the vehicle I just notified the host that the car will be returned early and gas will be placed at the level it was received. I sent pictures of the tank when I picked up. The host, in so many ways, called me a liar regarding the gas level and accused me of snapping the picture that day. I explained what happened and had the timestamp to prove the date and time. I went as far as confirming with customer service how to ensure my timestamp was captured in the gas tank picture. I was not happy with his approach nor have I worked with a host like this before.
Not to mention, the vehicle had been smoked in and there were some ashes under the radio which didn’t make using the car very pleasant. Won’t deal with this company again whenever I come in town!
I’m sorry your trip didn’t meet expectations. We followed Turo guidelines by providing pickup instructions before check-in and delivering the vehicle near the trip start time. I did not call you a liar; I only noted that the odometer photo was not taken at the beginning of the trip. The vehicle was cleaned and inspected before delivery. The return location was not accurately described, and I found damage to the interior decorative lighting after pickup.several issues raised weren’t related to us

spacious and good on gas . The special touches were nice such as it smelled very good , the lights were nice, and decorations!
