Michael's Tesi Y is a great vehicle and was exactly what I needed for this last minute trip... Indy was extremely low on car stock and I was lucky enough to be able to find this Tesi before it was rented by another in need customer.
It was super easy to book, super convenient pick-up in the airport's short/long term parking garage. Has good range on it to get me out to the boondocks of Indy for a few days and back and drop off was breezier than pick-up honestly.
Next time I have to stop off in Indy I'll definitely be booking with Michael again. Thanks for the service you provide brother ✊🏽🫡🤙🏽 10/10 I Highly Recommend‼️

Host dropped off this Model Y and found the front left tire completely bald — 0/32" tread, professionally verified at a tire shop the same day. Two other tires were right at or under 4/32", and the tire shop recommended that all tires be replaced due to wear. They also mentioned to me that, as far as they could tell, the tires were not even EV rated. The host has completely neglected the most basic and obvious care of the vehicle.
What stood out most wasn't the tire itself, but the response. I was renting this car to drive my family, including our dog, several hundred miles. When I initially asked whether the tires had been checked lately, I was told they were fine at their last inspection, although he couldn't recall the date. I took the car to a tire shop to verify the tires, where they said all 4 needed replaced. The host's reply was to replace only the worst 2, framed as "only replacing what needs replacing for now." At no point did I get an apology, not even a brief one, for handing over a car with a bald tire to a family for a long highway trip. Or even a thank you for taking his car to a tire shop to have tires replaced/calling around to get quotes.
I would caution against renting from this host. If they can't maintain the most basic thing on a car, it definitely makes you wonder about the rest of the car (things like brakes/brake fluid, wiper fluid/wipers, etc.). Based on this experience, I don't think safety is something they're prioritizing, and I wouldn't rent from them again.
And just as a side note, the car's settings did show that it was overdue for multiple service needs and that's it's tire service was 4500 miles past due.
