We booked this vehicle specifically with a car seat, but when we arrived, there wasn’t one. There was also no cell service in the lot, so we had to drive down the street just to contact the host. They apologized and directed us to another vehicle to retrieve a car seat, but after unlocking that vehicle, there wasn’t a car seat in there either.
On top of that, the vehicle smelled strongly of marijuana covered up with air freshener. We notified the host about both the missing car seat and the smell, but the marijuana odor was never addressed.
There are also concerning mechanical issues. The vehicle shakes badly while braking, consistent with severely warped rotors, and while driving it feels like something in the wheels, tires, or drivetrain is out of round.
The host did offer to reimburse us for a car seat and refund $100, which we appreciate. However, after traveling all day with a family and arriving late at night to a pitch-black parking lot, not having the car seat we specifically reserved created a major problem. Combined with the odor and apparent safety/mechanical issues, this was a very disappointing experience.
