Car smelled like smoke terribly to a point that our clothes smelled like smoke after being in the car. Burns in various places in the interior and on door edges and carpets and seats. Ashes still on window edges so clearly noticeable if looking at all. Reviews show it has been shared with the renter as well previously so it was known. Rule #1 was no smoking in the car ironically.
The pickup was not at the airport itself but at a satellite express parking lot that required a shuttle ride and the car was also not clean upon pickup. Bugs on windshield and mirrors and drivers and passengers window as well. Due to smokers vehicle the windshield was hazy as well.
When I contacted they basically said they’d look into it later upon return and made no offer to address the situation which affected our trip to the point where I had another rental car delivered to us.
Was quite disappointed. Was in town with family for a baseball tournament at Cary USA baseball facility. Only bad experience I’ve ever had on Turo.

We are having our team pull the vehicle immediately for a deep detail, ceiling-to-carpet stain treatment, and intense smoke odor removal to address the burns and ashes left by previous guests who violated our policy. Our mechanic is also cleaning the hazy windshield to restore full visibility. We are addressing
