Pros:
The car was clean, quiet, got shockingly good gas mileage, and didn’t smell like anything. (This is important, I have had cars in the past that smelled “good” and then after the perfume or scent went away a lingering smoke smell was left, so the fact that this car had no scent at all is a huge green flag).
Cons:
The car was missing a few gallons of gas when I picked it up but was expected to be full when dropped off. I know I likely could have dropped off with a few gallons missing as well but the rules state that I must return full, and I’ve been burned by enough rentals in the past that I always follow instructions.
The car was challenging to find as I am not familiar with the lot and the pin that Turo gave me had me walking around for 20 minutes trying to find it. Ideally the host will find a different method of handoff in the future.
I had to message the host to get them to verify my ID. I sent the photo several hours before I landed and it was not verified
Beyond those inconveniences the trip was honestly very good and the car is smooth and great to drive with plenty of room.
