Car was clean, drove great and the host was super responsive. 10/10

When he dropped off the car he apologized for the cracked windshield. He explained that it happened from a previous rental person. Seeing that it wasn’t that bad and I really had no other option I was understanding and said no problem. After making my first stop at a rest stop, I began pulling off to hear this strange noise coming from the vehicle. At first I thought it was the tire. My daughter and I got out check the tires and they were find. I looked under the vehicle to find the plastic cover and falling. I sent him a message and some pictures. He explained that maybe the hooks had broken and said he could bring me some. I told him that I was in Ohio. So I went into a 7 eleven and got some duck tape and taped it back together. The next morning while on my way to get my daughter the check engine light came on. I sent him a picture of that and he said he’ll look into it when I get back. The steering wheel began to shake and at times the car felt like it wanted to shut down. I drove the vehicle to New Jersey praying that it would get us back home to Chicago. He never offered to refund me any money nor did I ask. I was just grateful that me and my girls got home safely. Now I’m being asked to pay the $79 in toll fees and to be honest I don’t feel like I should have to pay them after all the issues I had with this vehicle. It seems like I have no choice. Even though he responded to all my messages I think this vehicle needs some work before it’s rented out again.
