I rarely write negative reviews, but I felt this experience with ASBB deserved an honest account for future renters considering a 2026 Tesla Model Y through Turo.
Before the rental even began, the vehicle’s FSD capability had already been suspended — something that was never disclosed to us beforehand. While I understand ASBB technically did not advertise FSD in the vehicle description, it was referenced repeatedly throughout prior reviews. At a certain point, reviews become part of the expectation of the product being rented. Otherwise, what is the point of reviews if the experience no longer matches what people are describing?
What makes this more disappointing is how the situation was handled afterward. Initially, ASBB was willing to provide a partial refund and discussed accommodations over the phone. However, shortly afterward, they sent a message walking back what had been discussed. It felt unprofessional to verbally acknowledge the issue and offer compensation, only to later recant via text.
To be clear, I understand this may have been an unfortunate circumstance outside of their direct control. My frustration is less about the issue itself and more about how it was handled afterward. Transparency and consistency matter.
Overall, there are better Turo options in Dallas for renting Teslas, especially if customer communication and professionalism are important to you.

We communicated transparently and explored all available Turo options with you, including offering an alternative vehicle. However, it seemed your focus was on securing a refund outside the platform, which is not permitted by Turo’s policy. We always adhere to Turo’s guidelines and strive to provide fair, professional service to all guests
