First. Some of this is on me for not paying more attention, thus 3 stars and not 1. I rented this car a month and a half prior for the exact same trip so I wasn't as detail oriented as I should have been. Some of this is just ridiculous. In the past I utilized this Tesla, and it's a great car. I was renting it to drive out to the country for a trial (I'm a lawyer). I rented it the first time for a single day and it cost 265 after all was said and done. That was fine. I had to make the same exact trip, so I re-rented this vehicle for the same amount of time. Without looking at things in too much detail as it was identical and I assumed it would be about the same, what I was surprised to learn is that while the rental fee remained the same, the host had added so many fees that the final cost came out to nearly 600 dollars. The listing offers to drop off and pickup the car at a pickup location. It doesn't list the fee. She charged 120 dollars! She charged 20 dollars for a low battery (despite not delivering the vehicle to me full originally), an additional 20 dollar "post-trip recharging", a new 55 dollars to have access to FSD which is the entire benefit of the Tesla... an attempted 150 dollar pet fee.... (though in fairness, she reduced this to 50 after I objected). Initially, I wasn't going to leave a negative review because you never know when you need a Tesla, and it's their car, if they want crazy fees, that's their prerogative. But I was so appalled by the amount of nickel and diming on this that I just don't care. I'm never renting this Tesla again because someone who includes this many crazy fees is not someone I want to rent from. It's nuts... This is an example of Papa Johns removing an additional Peperoni each year to cut costs until there's no Peperoni left. I'm disappointed in the nickel and diming on this so 3/5 stars.

Pricing can vary over time, which may explain the difference from your previous trip. Charging fees apply when the car isn’t returned at a similar level. We did adjust the pet fee as a courtesy. We appreciate your input and will continue working to improve transparency for all guests.

Car was great - very clean and in great condition! Drop off was on time (even a few minutes early) Swathi was very responsive throughout. Would recommend renting with host!
