The first thing I saw when I turned the car on was a message saying it was 500 miles overdue for service. Host called unbidden to tell me to ignore that message, it had just been serviced. But sadly, as the renter who used it after me, Scott, noted, the "car shook like it had a football for a wheel." I checked the tire pressure, and for a car that had just been serviced it had surprisingly varying degrees of air in every tire. I drove it 7 miles, never over 45mph because it felt too scary to take it on the freeway. I reluctantly deemed it unsafe to drive.
Returned it. Texted the host, he said, "Im sorry, I don't deal with refunds, Turo does."
Got another text from the host the next day saying that he drove it and it "drove just fine." Ok. But I see from the reviews that Scott had it after me and in fact he had the same shakey driving experience, the same exact problem I did. Host has responded to him by saying the previous renter busted it and Scott exacerbated the problem. Hmmm, that's weird...because in fact between the rentals host said it "drove just fine."
Somewhere along the line the wheel was badly bent. When it got serviced they just did an oil change. DO NOT IGNORE THE FACT THAT ALL MY OTHER TRIPS HAVE ALL BEEN 5 STARS. THIS CAR WILL NOT BE LISTED UNTIL IT IS BACK TO EXCELLENT DRIVING CONDITION. FOR THE FUTURE RENTERS I WILL EVEN GO ON A SHORT DRIVE WITH THEM TO MAKE SURE THIS DOESNT COME BACK UP AGAIN.

Total Lemon. Dude told me upon check in it needed an oil change and to ignore light, the car shook like crazy the whole drive like it had a football for a wheel. This car should not be rented any longer, totally beat. Dont.
Yall don’t rent to this guy, I was going to take the car back to prevent further issues because clearly the car came back with an issue from the previous renter but dude basically said “too late, I’m driving it all the way to Borne” he likely made matters worse on my car. I did not intend to let him leave with a bad car. Dude said he had a meeting and was taking it like that. Again, likely made the issue worse.
