I have rented with Turo many times and have never had an issue until now. The car ran fine but that’s the only positive I have. The car reeked of marijuana. I messaged the host as soon as I got home with it. The message showed as read but no response. I messaged again the next day and again read but no response. When I finally messaged the following day telling them how unprofessional I felt they were being I got a response telling me to bring the car back that day and they would switch it out. When I got to their shop I was told that it would be extremely time consuming and difficult to switch the cars and they don’t know why someone told me that. They offered to use the ozone cleaner, change out the cabin air filter and wipe down the windows. When I smelled the car after it seemed to be better but by the time I got home it was back to just as bad. The trip to their office took me 2 hours that I really didn’t have. I again messaged with no response. When I say the car smelled, I don’t mean a slight odor it is so strong to the point that I was getting something out of it and someone standing next to the car commented on “my new hobby”. I work at a school and really don’t appreciate the embarrassment. The next day driving home in a snow storm, the drivers side windshield wipers flew off and I needed to drive home without it. i understand this could happen to anyone and if it had been the only issue I wouldn’t have been bothered by it, but added to the rest it was very frustrating. I called the office number and they said they were at a company function so didn’t have the needed paperwork but if I called back the next day with the closest advanced auto address they would call in wipers and I could go pick them up, again something I really didn’t have time for. When I called the next day I spoke with the manger and explained what had been going on. He apologized and asked if I was looking for a discount which I said I was. When I inquired about it again later I was told I would be refunded one days rental. I feel this was a slap in the face. When I voiced my displeasure, both about the amount and the fact that they kept referring to it as a “smoke smell” as if I was complaining about cigarette or camp fire smell and not something that would cause me trouble if I got pulled over, I was told that everyone experiences smells differently and I was welcome to return the car early (something I had already attempted to do). The whole experience was very frustrating and the lack of communication was horrible. I would never rent from this company again.

Rent this car for one day while my car was getting fixed. From pick up to drop off it was easy and the Reps were helpful. They answered all questions. The car was very clean and comfortable. If i have to rent a car again i will definitely rent it from this company. I appreciate you all
