I’m not someone who leaves quick “five-star” reviews without context or because I was simply able to rent. I prefer to provide a fair and honest experience.
Overall, I’m breaking my review down based on the vehicle condition, host communication, and the overall trip experience.
Pickup:
The pickup process was very smooth and convenient. The host provided clear instructions on where the vehicle and keys were located, making it easy to get started.

Vehicle Condition:
I was slightly disappointed with the cleanliness of the vehicle. While there was no visible trash, it could have benefited from a more thorough vacuum and wipe-down prior to the trip. The host also mentioned in advance that the tire pressure light may remain on due to a faulty sensor.

Gas:
The host communicated ahead of time that the gas tank would not be full and should be returned at the same level. However, this was somewhat inconvenient, as I had to stop and gas up during the drive to my destination.

Host & Communication:
Overall, the host was polite and responsive. When I noticed a brake light indicator, the host asked about the emergency brake. After checking, that was the issue, it’s was slightly engaged and I confirmed all was well.

During the trip, I experienced a more serious concern while driving on the expressway. After stopping in traffic, the vehicle shut off when I attempted to accelerate, and the steering wheel partially locked. I was able to safely move to the side of the road, waited about 30 minutes, and then restarted the vehicle and continued home.

I contacted the host immediately and requested a call. I received a call back approximately two hours later, by which time I had already made it home. The host was courteous and explained it may have been related to the vehicle’s auto stop feature.

Additional Note (Tracking Disclosure):
The listing referenced GPS; however, there were Apple AirTags present in the vehicle. While I understand tracking devices may be used, the description could be clearer, as “GPS” may be interpreted as a navigation feature rather than an active tracking device. This raised some initial concerns but didn’t think too much into it as I was ready to enjoy my weekend.

Overall, this was a decent rental experience. While I was able to complete my trip without super major issues, there were a few concerns that impacted my overall satisfaction. With some improvements, this could easily be a 5-star experience

Great experience! Host communicated fast and was friendly. Explained everything well. I had to drop my son off to his dads, meeting them halfway. The Jeep drove well.
